Well, Spring has come and gone it seems. While the nights in the foothills of the White Mountains are still cool, the bugs are coming with the heat of the day. It is shaping up to be a great year so far! I have been lucky enough to find homes for some of my poems in Writers’ Bloc, decomP magazinE, and Foundling Review. I am waiting on word from Salmon Poetry about my manuscript, and recently heard from Sargent Press. Sargent Press is a small publisher here in New Hampshire. They have accepted my chapbook, and I am currently waiting on a proof from them!
OVS Magazine Vol. 2 will be out shortly! We have a wonderful bunch of poets and artists in this issue. Patricia Smith is our Poetry feature, and Mike Lewis is our Art feature! Both amazing artist have new work and interviews in this issue.
I am running two open mics a month right now for poetry. One is in my kitchen, and the other is at The Mill Fudge Factory in Bristol, NH. I am also blessed with a lovely group of writers that I work with monthly at D Acres! I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep a community of writers around me after graduating from NEC…but here I am among many talented people!
I am currently working on a new book of poetry and art with Mike Lewis. It is a labor of love as I work around the loose theme we have…sssshhhhh it’s a secret! I will let you in on it soon.
Have a wonderful holiday weekend everyone!
