Over the next month I am pleased to say that I will be the feature on WHOM 94.9FM during Mornings with Sandra & Teddy on the 16th of April at 7:40AM! I will be teaching at the D Acres Writing group that morning as well, at 11AM, and would love to have you come and join us.
The New Hampshire launch of my book, Any Other Branch, at The Back Room at The Mill is on the 25th of April at 7:30pm. I invite you all to join me for dinner at The Mill at 6:30pm! It will be a wonderful event. Get your free tickets here!
Online, I had the honor of being featured on Writing Blind, where the lovely Traci McDonald introduced me to her readers. She is also generously posting a review of Any Other Branch on the 25th of April. Please check it out, and let me know if you would like to write a review as well!
Looking to the Summer, I am working on my book tour down the East Coast. This requires an incredible amount of planning. No one can truly appreciate the job of a publicist until they have tried to do their own promotion. I have the utmost respect for those in the industry.
This tour is going to consist of several stops down the coast on my way to Georgia. I will then turn around to come back up the coast, and perhaps read a few more places. If you have a location you would like to have me stop, please send me a message!I am thrilled that it seems to be coming together. It costs a great deal to do the driving these days, so like many small companies and independent artists I am trying out crowd funding. I tried to offer something special in return for sponsoring my dream of making it happen.
Picking a crowd funding platform was a process. I have used indiegogo before and kickstarter, but the contributor has to sign-up for one or even two accounts. I ended up doing a little research and found that gofundme.com was simple for me and my contributors. They charge about the same fee as the others, so I am giving it a go! Feel free to check out my champagne here. The thing that sold me on it was the fact that donating is as simple as purchasing something online. Give your credit card info, address, and you are done!
Off to prepare for a busy week of interviews, classes and Plymouth State Universities Medieval and Renaissance Forum. I have the honor of being the assistant director of the forum this year. I can’t wait to see it all come together this weekend! The academic discourse is always refreshing.
